Mahin Huschmand was born in Tehran, Iran and received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Archeology and Art from the University of Tehran. For 15 years, Mahin served for the Protocol of the Imperial Court of Iran and her last position was Vice General Director of the Secretariat of the Imperial Court. She has been decorated by several head of states, presidents as well as the former King of Iran. She was also honored to receive the decoration of “Tadj Grade 4” from her homeland.
In 1979 she immigrated to Germany and eventually to Washington DC in 1990 where she has resided ever since. During this time, she has arranged more than 50 painting exhibitions for different artists and has operated her own beauty business.
Mahin is married to Engineer Parviz Huschmand and just recently celebrated their 54th Wedding Anniversary. They have two children, Sogol and Iman as well as two grandchildren, Dorsa and Parsa. It is due to these 54 years of happy marriage that Mahin has decided to invest her time to officiate marriages in the hopes that her good fortune can be transferred on to the younger generation of couples in love, who have decided to make an oath to marry each other until death does them part.
